It started as an interview but it ended being a shade war. Josaline Hernandez came back to The Wendy Williams Show this Wednesday and it turned out to be a must-watch daytime moment on TV after a long time.
The shade war began when Willaims made an oblique comment about the Love & Hip Hop icon. She said
“For some reason, I wouldn’t recognize you if I saw you — you look different every time I see you — in a good way.” Josaline who was attending the show to promote Josaline’s Cabaret, her show on Zeus, did not think this was a compliment and she responded by saying, “Miss Wendy I just must say this to you first — I hope you’re going to give me my flowers today. I hope you’re going to honor how much work I put out there. I hope you’re going to, you know, not kind of throw this off outside of everything that I’ve done. I’m an accomplished woman. And I just feel like every time I come to your show, you don’t give me those flowers.”
She not only stood up for herself but she responded to the diva by saying, “And Wendy — you’re 35 years my senior — I should get those flowers. ”
Wendy however is not 35 years older than the rapper. Josaline is 34 and Wendy is 56. The host called Josaline out by simply saying “Shade!”
Josaline however continued to respond by saying, “Every time I come on your show, you always want to compare me to another broad. I don’t need to be compared. I’ve made my own brand. I’ve been out here for the past decade. I got my own show. I have the number one show in the country.”
Wendy however was done with this, she threw her own shade by replying to her “number one show in the country” comment by saying, “No, you have the number one show on Zeus.”
It seemed the way Wendy said Zeus, she is not too fond of the streaming app. Wendy continued trying to change the conversation by saying, “And you got renewed for the third season. which is to be commended.”
Josaline however was not done with this. She said she wanted Wendy to know about her feelings. The host also shared that she felt “undervalued.” Wendy then ended the fight by going to the Show Cam.
However Joseline was not in the mood to display her shoes, she wanted to show Wendy down and she made it personal by saying, “Give me that respect, Ms. Wendy Williams! We love you, but at the same time, you have to do better. You’re not in an abusive relationship anymore. You don’t deal with that man anymore. You should be in a better place. And when people come on your show, especially Black culture, you should be nicer to us, the ladies, you should respect us, you should give us her flowers while we’re here, and you should tell us how proud you are, of what we’ve done in the streets.”
