Every Wedding has a guest that gets emotional and overly personal by sharing details of the one that got away. But recently, for one such couple that recently got married in Florida, that emotional wedding guest was former President Donald Trump. His rant was his wedding speech about the one that got away from him, meaning the 2020 election.
In celebration of Megan and John Arrigo’s marriage in the Mar-a-Lago ceremony, Doland Trump took the opportunity to rant about Joe Biden’s performance as the President. He said, “They’re telling me about the border, they’re telling me about China, they’re telling me about Iran. How are we doing about Iran? The border’s not good. The border’s the worst anybody’s ever seen it.”
TMZ got a video where Trump is seen criticizing the “humanitarian disaster” which is taking place at the U.S. border. It was his administration that had separated thousands of families under his “zero-tolerance” policy. His administration had argued that children at the border did not need towels, toothbrushes, soap, or dry clothing.
Trump also said at one point which was met with cheers by guests that were present at the event, “So it’s a rough thing, and I just say, do you miss me yet?”
Trump ended his speech by acknowledging the newly married couple. He said, “A lot of things happening right now. I just want to say it’s an honor to be here. You are a great and beautiful couple.”
Trump has not been leaving Mar-a-Lago too much these days although we may see more of Trump at weddings. This week he has launched a website that will let his supporters invite him and former First Lady Melania Trump to their engagements and events. The guests can also request messages and special greetings from the Trumps and share thoughts and messages. This is not an uncommon site. The Obamas also have a similar site, so does George W. Bush. Although it is a bit difficult to imagine Barack Obama or anyone who is not your relative or friend, grabbing the mic and ranting about election fraud at your wedding.
Trump has now been removed from his social media platform of choice so he has found interesting ways to express his thoughts. He also spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month and appeared on Fox News. He also dropped a statement via DIY presidential letterhead which said, “I hope that everyone remembers when they’re getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t president, you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all. I hope everyone remembers!” He wrote this many weeks ago.
Trump said at the wedding, “We did get 75 million votes. Nobody’s ever gotten that. They said, ‘Get 66 million votes, and the election’s over.’ Well, I got 75 million, and you saw what happened. 10:30 in the evening, all of a sudden they said, ‘That’s a strange thing, why are they closing up certain places?'”
