St. Vincent who is 38 is all set to dazzle at Studio 8J on April 3’s episode of Saturday Night Live! The Grammy winner shared this exciting news through a cute Instagram post which said, “SNL has been my favorite show since I was a kid and I can’t believe I get to play it AGAIN!” she included the hashtags “#snl #DaddysHome.” The Grammy winner has earlier appeared on NBC’s sketch series in May 2014. She performed ” Birth in Reverse” and “Digital Witness”.
St. Vincent is Oklahoma Born. Her birth name was Annie Erin Clark and she was born on 28th September 1982 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She moved to Dallas, Texas where she went to Lake Highlands High School. It was in Texas that she fell in love with music. She was a regular at Zoo Music on Garland and she bought her first guitar and took lessons there. After she graduated, she moved to Boston and attended the Berklee School of Music for the next three years. She dropped out and moved to New York City later. She has a big family consisting of half-siblings and step-siblings. She has a total of eight sisters and brothers.
St. Vincent has dated Cara Delevinge. They dated from 2014 to 2016. The couple was first seen together during St. Vincent’s tour after they were introduced by Fiona Apple. The women were often chased after they declared their relationship which St. Vincent was not very used to. She told The Telegraph’s Stella Magazine, “It was just banana. I remember being in a high-speed chase through London. I was thinking, ‘This is a Princess Diana-style situation, somebody could get killed.’”
Cara had also commented about their deep relationship to Vogue in 2016, “I’m completely in love. Before, I didn’t know what love was — real love. I didn’t understand the depth of it. I always used to think it was you against the world. Now I know the meaning of life is love. St. Vincent told Stella, “I’ll love her for ever and ever.” Cara also sang in ‘Pills” which is St. Vincent’s song. The pair is rumored to have been broken up because they could not handle the long-distance relationship.
St. Vincent is a Grammy winner. She won a Grammy in 2014 for her album St. Vincent. She won in the category of Best Alternative Music Album. She won her second Grammy in 2019 for ” Masseduction” with Jack Antonoff in the Best Rock Song category. She was also nominated in the Alternative Music category.
She said when she was on stage in 2019 after she won the Grammy, “I want to say a big thank you to my friend here Jack Antonoff. We made a record together that I’m so proud of. I think this is the first time that I’ve given a thank you speech,” She was very happy when she was thanking her family and everyone that worked on the record.
