Following the Capitol riots, allegedly instigated by the Donald Trump regime, New York City administrators have decided to distance themself from the Trump administration until the situations die down. The Capitol riots saw US Citizens dead, racketeering, assault, teargas, water cannons, and open defiance of the law. This can hurt the Trump Organization in a significant way as it has more than $20 million in tourism-based dealings with New York City.
With political situations at a downside, NYC’s move is being welcomed by liberals in the US and other parts of the world. For instance, the Wollman Skating Rink in NYC alone earned the Trump organization a whopping $10 million in revenue, let alone many other tourism establishments. The exact amount of business that the Trump Organization will lose in the NYC situation is yet to be assessed.
NYC is currently just the tip of the iceberg as many other entities have chosen to cut ties with Trump Organizations. Various IT agencies based in Silicon Valley have raised serious concerns about business and economic stability if they keep ties with the Trump regime. Some other organizations who have otherwise a liberal mindset have cut ties, not because their business is hurting but, in protest. These are symbolic figures as to what can happen if the business starts collapsing due to political instability inside the superpowers of the world. The White House has, however, released no statements on this issue so far, and chosen to be a witness to these incidents. However, Twitteratis and netizens have blasted Trump for his moves which would hurt the economy of the country.
Trump’s loss in the US Presidential Elections has brought in mixed reactions from various parts of the world. Various right-wing groups across the globe have shown displeasure at the Biden-Harris victory while stating that an iron-clad regime like Trump’s is necessary for business and global security. However, a major section of US citizens has welcomed Biden with open arms as they feel that discrimination and administrative incapacity were two factors that made Trump unfit for the second term. The COVID-19 situation had made it worse for the Trump Government because of its initial reluctance to accept the situation at hand. When the business started collapsing and the infected COVID-19 count started soaring, Trump’s stand became weaker every passing day.
This, of course, did not stand well with business administrators, counselors, or lawmakers in NYC, Boston, and many other places and they claimed their utter displeasure over social media and even during the election campaigns. The Capitol violence made things worse for Trump and NYC has finally decided to shun his organization aside and plan their business model afresh.
