It has been around six weeks since the incident. The horrible car crash has however not kept him from seeing his children, Charlie, 12, and his daughter Sam, 13. Tiger has his ex-wife Elin Nordegren to be grateful for that as PEOPLE has reported that the former 41-year-old model has been brilliant in letting the kids be with their father. The publication reported, “She’s been incredible since the crash. She has bent over backward to make sure that [Tiger] can see the kids while he recovers from his injuries.”
PEOPLE also reported that Tiger and Elin are “working well to make sure that the kids have as much access to them as they want.”This means that the kids, Charlie and Sam can go to Elin’s house or Tiger’s house whenever they want. The publication said that this system has been working out since there is barely any jealousy between the former couple over “who gets to spend what time with the kids.”
Tiger has been recovering at his home in Florida. Due to the accident, Tiger suffered through a fractured fibula and right tibia, along with a laceration to the lower front jaw with bruises on his left and right rib cage. Tiger has been reported to be “focused on his continued recovery,” which consists of brilliant medical care, a rehabilitation plan, and an optimistic mental attitude.
On April 7, The L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced that their department had determined the reason behind Tiger’s car accident. It was excessive speed. The sheriff said during a press conference, “The primary causal factor for this traffic collision was driving at a speed unsafe for the road conditions and the inability to negotiate a curve of the roadway. Estimated speeds at the first area of impact were 84 to 87 miles per hour in the final estimated speed when the vehicle struck the tree was 75 miles per hour. There [were] no signs of impairment. Our primary concern, once we, obviously at the scene of the collision, was his safety.”
Tiger Woods was driving to a gold course in his Genesis GV80 SUV when he struck the raised median. The SUV then lost control and crossed two lanes of oncoming traffic, it uprooted a tree and rolled down the treacherous embankment. The sheriff has also claimed that Tiger Woods receiving any special treatment in this car accident investigation is not true.
